8) Floppy disk drive

The floppy disk drive should be cleaned monthly. Foreign material on the head can scratch the

sensitive floppy disk, preventing play back of data. An optional floppy disk drive cleaner is

available.

Cleaning floppy disk: Type, MCD-2-1K, Code No., 000-116-420

1. Insert the cleaning floppy disk in the floppy disk drive.

2. Press [MENU], [6], [5].

3. Press the [ENT] key.

4. Remove the cleaning floppy disk.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 3 five times.

The life of the cleaning floppy disk is about 50 plays.

9) Demagnetizing the display

Color contamination may occur because of earth's magnetism or magnetized ship structure.

When the display color appears to be abnormal, press the [DEGAUSS] key to restore normal

display color.
