The library is now ready to resume operation. If you replaced a SCSI tape
drive, the new tape drive automatically assumes the SCSI ID of the old drive.
If you installed an additional SCSI tape drive, set the SCSI ID for the drive as
described on
If you replaced a Fibre Channel tape drive, the new tape drive obtains its Loop
ID as described on
. If you installed an additional Fibre Channel tape

ISTINGS
The library features an internal interface that provides access to the library’s
firmware. You access this interface, called Console, through the library’s serial
port. You can use Console to upgrade the library’s firmware, create diagnostic
listings, and view the password for LCD security.
As an alternative, you can use the library’s Ethernet interface and an FTP
utility to upgrade the library’s firmware and create diagnostic listings.
Caution
The library’s internal components are lubricated at the factory and should not be
cleaned or relubricated. To protect the internal components from dust, keep the
library’s door closed.
Caution
To avoid scratching the operator panel, do not use abrasive cleaners, abrasive
cleaning implements, harsh chemicals, or solvents.
