If you are installing an additional tape drive in the library, follow these steps to 

remove the drive bay service access cover. If you are replacing a tape drive, 

skip to 

“Removing the Tape Drive” on page 141

.

From the back panel, use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to release the captive 

screw that secures the service access cover to the library (see 

Figure 7-1

).

Warning

Before performing this procedure, be sure that the library’s power switch is in the 

off position and the power cord is disconnected from the outlet.
