Searching in a Dictionary
The operation for dictionaries is the same as for books. This example describes
searching in a dictionary.
You can also search for characters scanned using the Character reader in dictionaries (
n
P.171).
A 20,000 word English-Japanese Dictionary is preset in the mova.
Note If

was pressed for at least 1 second to end e-Dictionary&Book the last time, the
last page displayed appears the next time it is opened. This is not the case if miniSD
memory card is re-inserted, power is turned off once, if started from Assistant view or
Character reader, or if internal dictionary is opened. (In such cases, e-Dictionary&Book list is
displayed when e-Dictionary&Book is started.)
Depending on the dictionary/book, you may need to enter a password. Enter your password
(up to 16 digits), and then press
t
.
Some data contain information that allows you to jump to other pages. Select such character
strings and pictures, and then press
t
to jump to the relevant page. Press
i
(Return) to
return to the original page.
Display up to 400 items per folder in the file list.

To use Assistant view

Enter up to 255 half-pitch characters.

If no match is found, “

” (Character string not found) is
displayed.
