It may take time to download dictionary contents connecting
Internet depending on communication environment. When
downloading data using the terminal, packet communication
charge may become high. Subscription of packet flat-rate
service is highly recommended.

While downloading with the terminal, you can also use
functions other than dictionary downloading.
･
Even if downloading dictionaries is canceled on the way,
dictionary whose downloading is complete can be updated.
･
When voice search is used or Wikipedia search is used, a
packet communication charge may be applied.
Enter a keyword to search in the terminal or websites, call up
applications in the terminal to activate. Searching web sites
using Voice search is also available.

Voice : Set language or voice input.
Phone search : Specify search target applications in the
terminal.
Privacy & accounts : Set privacy for Google search and
accounts.

To show help of Privacy and accounts, tap at the
upper right of the screen.

While the Home screen is displayed, searching by
handwritten input is available.
Settings of handwriting search are as follows.
Setting search function : From the Home screen, →
[Handwriting search: Start]/[Handwriting search: End].
Setting search target : From the Home screen,
→
[Home
settings] → [Set handwriting search] → Mark search target.

When you select [Ultra unified searching] with which you can
specify a search site as search location in Set handwriting
search, touch and hold the Home screen
→ [Widgets] → [Ultra
unified searching] to activate and use it.
