Installing Blade Components
Integrated NIC Hardware Key
Hardware functionality for the blade’s integrated NICs is enabled by
installing a NIC hardware key in the socket on the system board (see "System
Board Connectors" on page 338.)
NOTE:
Operating system support is also required for full NIC functionality.

Internal USB Key (PowerEdge M915, M910, M710,
M710HD, M610, and M610x Only)
These blades provide an internal USB connector for a USB flash memory key.
The USB memory key can be used as a boot device, security key, or mass
storage device. To use the internal USB connector, the
Internal USB Port
option must be enabled in the
Integrated Devices
screen of the System Setup
program.
