is reached, it is possible to enter the Humidity and Temperature values indicated by the
incubator. The Average Relative Humidity value, as measured by the Humidity Sensor , is
displayed on the screen. If the incubator has its own indicator of humidity, the
Humidity Check
button can be clicked, enabling the input screen of Figure 75. The relative humidity value displayed
by the incubator is input and will be compared to the relative humidity as measured by the
Humidity Sensor . The value indicated by the incubator must be within 15% of the value
measured by vPad-TI’s Humidity Sensor.

Similarly, the incubator is required to have a temperature sensor which is independent of the control
system of the incubator. This sensor is typically a non-mercury thermometer mounted within the
baby compartment of the incubator. The requirements of the Standard, clause 201.12.1.105, are
such that the independent temperature indicator must not differ from the Incubator Temperature by
more than 1
o
C. The indicated value of the independent temperature indicator is input into the
appropriate field in Figure 76.
