4.5 Create/Edit/Run Autosequences
Autosequences are a defined set of parameters to test during the incubator performance assurance
procedure. Touching the
Edit Autosequences
quadrant on the main screen will provide a list of
available Autosequences which can either be Edited, used as templates to create new Autosequences,
or, be selected to
Run
directly.
The scrollable list of Autosequences provides the sequence name and the sequence description for
easy selection. Technically, the Standard expects all the parameters to be tested, however, this is
really only true for the type certification test when the manufacturer is seeking regulatory approval.
Typically, when doing routine performance assurance testing, a user/owner of an incubator may
elect to do a subset of the overall test which reflects the risk level and testing schedule for a given
parameter. These various tests or sequences can be created and saved for easy selection when
testing is to be done.
In the upper right corner of the Autosequence list screen, there is a check box,
Run Test
. If this
box is not checked, selecting an autosequence will allow editing of the selected sequence, or use of
the selected sequence as a template for creating a new sequence. If the box is checked, selecting a
sequence will actually start running or performing the selected test, without entering the edit screen
first.
Figure 22 and Figure 23, shown below, allows Autosequences to be created, modified, recalled and
saved to meet the particular needs of the user. From this screen each test parameter can be enabled
as required for a test. If it is expected the test may be needed again, it can be saved as an
Autosequence by entering a name into the field

pressing the Save button. During an Autosequence, the parameters will be tested in the order in
which they appear on the screen. This order has been selected to minimize disruption of the
temperature tests by opening the incubator doors at inopportune times. To enable testing of a
parameter, right-click in the appropriate check box. Enabled tests will display a check mark in the
box.
