vPad-TI OPERATING MANUAL

Once the Bluetooth wireless connection is made to the DAT (Data Acquisition Device) the user
must press

Continue

to proceed with the actual test. This screen is just to confirm that wireless

communications have been established.

Figure 35 shows the instruction screen for the

Background Sound Level (BSL)

test. On this

screen there is a

icon. If this icon is selected, a help screen describing this test will be displayed.

In addition, there is a battery icon,

which will indicate the battery level during the test. The

battery level is not updated on the instruction screens, only during actual tests. Because certain
portions of the test only require data every minute, there may be some uncertainty that the system is
operating. An animated activity icon,

is displayed on the screen to show there is activity going

on in the background.
