8.5.1.2 RAID
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a data storage virtualization technology that
combines multiple physical HDD components into a single logical unit for the purposes of data
redundancy, performance improvement, or both.

The Device supports RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, RAID6, RAID10, RAID50 and RAID60. See "Appendix 2
RAID" for detailed information.
●
You are recommended to use enterprise HDD when you are creating RAID, and use surveillance
HDD for single-HDD mode.
8.5.1.2.1 Creating RAID
RAID has different levels such as RAID5, RAID6 and so on. Different RAID levels have different data
protection, data availability and performance levels. Create RAID according to your actual
requirements.
Creating RAID operation is going to clear all data on these HDD. Be careful!

Resource > RAID > RAID.
