INSTALL THE POLYCARBONATE ROOF PANELS

1. Take one 6' x 8' roof panel and remove the protective

film and place a mark on the UV-protected side as a

reminder to install this side toward the sun.

Use assistants when

setting the panels on

the frame. To prevent

interfering with the

installation of the end

panels and flashing, do

not allow the roof panel

to extend more than 1/2"

beyond the end rafter.

3. Set the prepared panel, with its UV-protected side up,

on the hat channel and position the outer edge

no more

than 1/2" beyond the outer edge of the end rafter

ATTENTION:

Apply tape

at the upper end of all

upper roof panels and to

both ends of all lower roof

panels to seal the cell

openings.

4. Position the panel square on the hat channel so that

a gap of approximately 1"- 2" remains between the

panels at the top when both panels are installed. Use

the center line on the top of the rafters as a guide to

determine and maintain the gap width.

5. Measure 24" in from the outside edge of the end rafter

and mark the location at each hat channel.

6. Verify that the lower edge of the panel is aligned with

the hat channel attached to the roof frame.

7. Secure the first panel to each run of hat channel using

Tek screws and washers installed through the panel

and into the hat channel at the first set of 24" marks.

(See the black dots for Tek screw locations above.)

NOTE:

Do not install any screws along the edge or

bottom of the panel. Aluminum profile and flashing are

installed later in these areas.

8. Take the first section of 8' H-Channel,

cut it 1" shorter

than the panel length

, and place it along the inside

edge,

flush with the top of the upper panel

2. Using the white vent tape, tape the open cells as

described below.

to the outside of

the greenhouse.

9. Verify that the panel is flat against the hat channel, take

two Tek screws, and secure the H-channel to the hat

channel

near the upper edge of the panel
