INSTALL POLYCARBONATE SIDE PANELS (continued)
3. Take a 6' x 12' panel and cut it in half to create two (2)
6' x 6' upper panels.
9. With assistance, place the upper panel against the hat
channel attached along the frame and slide the panel
up until it meets the underside of the roof panel.
10. Square the panel on the frame and attach it to the
upper run of hat channel using FA4484 Tek screws and
neo-bonded washers (102921B).
4. Remove the protective film from one 6' x 6' panel, mark
the UV-protected side (if needed) using a marker or
small piece of tape, and tape the open cells at one end
of the panel using the vent tape. This is now the top of
the 6' x 6' upper panel.
5. Take an 8' section of aluminum H-channel and cut it
to 71", which is 1" shorter than the length of the upper
panel.
6. Install the H-channel along the inside edge of the side
panel and flush with the top of the panel. This is the
edge where the next side panel will join the first.
8. Install the end cap section along the lower edge (no
tape) of the upper polycarbonate panel as shown below
with the flat side to the outside of the shelter.
NOTE:
Space screws and washers at 24" intervals.
Do not use washers on the screws used to secure the
H-Channel to the hat channel.
7. Cut a section of end cap (104548) to cover the lower
edge of the upper side panel.
