INSTALL ROOF PANELS (continued)
NOTE:
Do not use washers on Tek screws when
securing any H-channel to the hat channel. Install Tek
screws in the channel of the aluminum H-channel.
Lower edge of the panel must remain free so it can be
lifted to install the lower panel.
10. With the H-channel section attached, measure the
width of the panel at the bottom as shown.
This dimension is used to determine the length of the
end cap (#104548) which will be installed at the lower
edge of all upper roof panels.
11. Take a piece of aluminum end cap (104548) and cut it
to length to cover the lower edge of the panel.
12. Install the pre-cut end cap along the lower edge of the
installed upper polycarbonate panel as shown below.

ATTENTION:
Install the end cap as shown below.
Once the end cap is installed, verify that the UV-
protected side of the panel will be to the outside toward
the sun when the panel is placed on the frame.
At this time the panel should have one long edge
finished with H-channel, one long edge unfinished,
upper edge taped, and lower edge finished with the
104548 end cap.
13. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to prepare the lower roof panel.
14. Take another 8' section of the H-channel and install
it along the inside edge of the lower panel.
The
H-channel will align with the H-channel of the upper
panel when the lower panel is set on the roof frame.

Lower panel is taped at the top and bottom

15. Take the prepared lower panel (X) and, with assistance,
set it on the frame.
