RIDGE CAP INSTALLATION
3. With the first section of ridge cap installed, repeat the
steps to install the remaining sections of ridge cap.
NOTE:
Overlap the previous section of ridge cap no
more than 2" during the installation.
The final section of ridge cap can be cut to length, or
it can overlap the previous section as needed. Do not
allow the ridge cap to extend beyond the outer edge of
the end rafter.
4. Repeat steps for installing ridge cap on the remaining
bay(s).
5. Continue with the installation of the side panels.

• Do not over-tighten the screws.
• Do not install the Tek screws too close to the edge
of the ridge cap. Tek screws must be driven into
the hat channel to properly secure the upper edges
of the installed roof panels.
• Do not allow the ridge cap to extend beyond the
outside edge of each end rafter.
• At this time, do not install Tek screws at the end
of the ridge cap. The roof flashing will be installed
under the ridge cap in a later procedure. After the
flashing is installed, a screw is driven to secure the
flashing and the end of the ridge cap.
• Overlap the ridge cap in a direction that is least
affected by the prevailing winds.

NOTE:
For easier installation of the Tek screws, pre-
drill a hole through the ridge cap section using a ¼" bit
at the desired locations. This prevents the ridge cap
from "working up" the Tek screw as it is driven into
place.
Once all roof panels are installed, install the ridge cap as
described in the next procedure.
1. Take a section of ridge cap and center it between the
tops of the two adjacent panels.
2. Using Tek screws and neo-bonded washers, secure
the ridge cap section by driving the screws through
the ridge cap, through the roof panel, and into the hat
channel.
Use the same spacing as the screws used to
secure the roof panels in place on the frame.
