INSTALL THE ROOF-TO-SIDEWALL FLASHING
The roof-to-sidewall flashing is installed to secure the joint
where the roof panels meet the sidewall panels.
1. Position an assistant with a wood block (or 2" x 4"
board) on the inside of the frame.
2. Take a section of 3" x 3" flashing and apply a bead
of silicone along both surfaces that will contact the
underside of the roof panel and the inside of the side
panel. This provides a bond to better secure flashing.
Install flashing on the underside of the roof panels to
secure the side panels to the roof panels.
Install flashing
flush with the
edges of the roof
and side panels
as shown.
Use FA4482B Tek screws and
neo-bonded washers to secure
panels to the flashing.

3" x 3" Flashing
DO NOT install a Tek screw
(FA4482B)
too close to the
end of the flashing until you overlap the flashing with
the next section (Step 4)
. Secure the overlapped seam
with a Tek screw and washer.
5. After installing the first section of flashing, select
another section, overlap the first by 3"-4", and secure
the flashing to the polycarbonate panels.
6. Repeat these steps until the installation of the flashing
for the first side is complete.
NOTE:
To install the last section of roof-to-sidewall
flashing, overlap the previous section as needed with
the flashing, or cut the flashing to the required length
so that it is installed flush to the edge of the panels.
See the previous diagram.
7. Repeat the steps to install the roof-to-sidewall flashing
for the remaining side.
8. Continue with the installation of the final end wall
panels—one (1) at each corner of each end wall.
INSTALL UPPER CORNER END WALL PANELS
Before the end wall flashing is installed, install the final four
(4) end wall panels per bay.
Complete the following steps:
1. Choose one of the remaining 6' x 8' polycarbonate
panels. Do not remove the protective covering at this
time.
2. With assistance, lift the panel into position and hold it
against the end wall frame. The panel will extend above
the roof panels and beyond the upper sidewall panels.
Position the panel with the UV-protected side to the
outside.
Do not attempt without assistance. Do not attempt on
windy or stormy days.
3. Place it in position as shown in the top diagram and
have an assistant hold the flashing in position using the
block or board.
NOTE:
Use the 106716 flashing in 84" lengths.
The
wood block or board is used to prevent the screw from
being driven into the hand or finger of the assistant.
4. Working from outside the frame, secure the panel to
the flashing using Tek screws (FA4482B) and neo-
bonded washers spaced at approximately 24".
Verify that the angle of the flashing matches the angle
created by the roof-to-side panel union. DO NOT use
the flashing with the 90° bend.
NOTE:
Flashing is thin. Do not over-tighten the Tek
screws. Doing so may strip the hole in the flashing.
