c. Dashed line identifies where to attach the end cap
profile. The end cap extends beyond the frame
members and into the rough opening to stop the
door in the frame and to help seal the gap between
the door and frame.
End cap used for
door stop and seal.

DOUBLE DOOR ASSEMBLY (continued)
12. After end cap profile is installed, install another section
of the same end cap on the
inside frame of the door
that includes the chain latch.
NOTE:
This length of end cap will act as a stop for the
remaining door of the double door assembly when both
doors are closed.
13. Check the operation of the latches and the doors.
14. Continue by installing the ridge cap for the roof.

illustration purposes only.
NOTE:
Position supports so they span from rafter
to rafter and directly over the hat channel to protect
panels.
Do not use materials that will damage or
scratch the panels.
CAUTION:
Do not place support structure directly on
the polycarbonate panels; serious injury may occur.
Cover panels with material such as cardboard to
protect the UV-protected surface during the ridge cap
installation.
The ridge cap is the final component needed to complete
the installation of the greenhouse roof. The installation
procedure above describes installing all panels before
installing the ridge cap.
In the diagrams that follow, end
frame has been removed for clarity.
Basic tools needed:
• Ladder to reach peak of frame
• Additional support between rafters to install ridge cap
• Metal-cutting tool, power driver, and ¼" drill bit
Components needed:
• Ridge cap sections (#CG96174), Tek screws and
washers
ATTENTION:
Using a lift to install the ridge cap is
recommended. If a lift is not used, building a support
structure that will allow a person to reach the top of
greenhouse from the outside will be necessary. Design the
support structure to support both the weight of the structure
and the weight of the person using it.
CAUTION:
Under no circumstances should the support
structure allow any force or weight to be applied directly
to the polycarbonate sheets! All supports must span
from rafter to rafter. Consult a contractor if needed for
additional information. Take the necessary steps to
protect the polycarbonate panels.
