HST Oil Reservoir
1. Park the machine on a level ground.
2. Open the engine hood.
3. Visually inspect that the oil level is between
[MIN] and [MAX] lines on the oil reservoir. If it
is below [MIN], fill oil.
4. Close the engine hood.
Inspecting - Models without charge-pump
1. Open the engine hood.
2. Remove the cap on the HST oil reservoir.
3. Fill the specified HST oil into the reservoir so
that the oil level is above [MIN] line on the
reservoir.
4. Reinstall the cap back in place and screw it
securely.
5. Close the engine hood.

5. Remove the oil filter cartridge.
6. Have a new oil filter cartridge. Apply a thin coat of oil onto its oil seal and install it.
• The HST system cannot be fully drained due to its design.
• Do not operate the drive pedal or drive lever with the HST oil drained. Doing so lets
air into the circuit, necessitating to bleed the circuit.
NOTE
7. Reinstall the drain plug.
8. Fill fresh oil to the level.
9. Reinstall the filler cap.
10. Start the engine and run it for a while. Stop it and check the HST oil level.
11. Restart the engine and drive the machine back-and-forth from standstill several times.
12. Check the oil level. If it is low, fill.
13. Perform 10-12 until the oil level stabilizes.
14. Check if there is no oil leak.
15. After changing the HST oil, check the oil level every 10-30 minutes of use for a while
and fill as necessary.
