4.10.2 SETTING THE NOZZLE ANGLE
IMPORTANT: Refer to the instructions included with the chemical for preferred spray nozzle angles.
1. Set all nozzles to spray at the same angle. Fig. 4.12 shows the maximum angles that the sprayer is capable of
spraying. The possible angles are 15
o
forward to 30
o
back on machines equipped with Wind Cones, 30
o
back
on machines equipped with Wind Screens and 20
o
forward to 45
o
back on machines without wind protection.
Note: Watch for liquid buildup on the inside of the Wind Cones and Wind Screens when working with angles more
than 15
o
.
To adjust the spray angle on machines NOT equipped with the Quick Adjust Spray Angle Kit:
1. Loosen the bolts on the spray pipe clamps which have the spacers in them.
2. Adjust the nozzles to the desired angle and retighten the clamp bolts. Make sure all nozzles are adjusted to the
same angle.
To adjust the spray angle on machines equipped with the Quick Adjust Spray Angle Kit:
1. Squeeze the handle on the Quick Adjuster and rotate the spray pipe to the desired angle.
2. Release the handle making sure it is in one of the slots. Make sure all nozzles are adjusted to the same angle.
