4.4.1 BOTTOM FILLING THE MAIN TANK WITH THE NURSE TANK PUMP
1. Connect the transfer line from the nurse tank to the 2" male coupler on the Bottom Fill valve. Be certain that all
hoses and fittings are clean before the water transfer is made.
2. Open the Bottom Fill valve, Pump
Shutoff valve and the Tank Shutoff
valve. Close all other valves.
3. Start the nurse tank pump.
4. When the water transfer is
complete, close the Bottom Fill
valve. Disengage the nurse tank
pump.
NOTE: A typical 5 horse power 2"
nurse tank pump should pump
between 360 to 450 L/min (80 to
100 Imperial gpm, 100 to 120 US
gpm.)
4.4.2 FILLING THE MAIN TANK WITH THE SPRAYER PUMP
1. Connect the transfer line from the nurse tank to the 2" male coupler on the Bottom Fill valve. Be certain that the
hoses and fittings are clean before the water transfer is made.
2. Open the Bottom Fill valve, the Throttling valve, the Transfer valve and the Tank Shutoff valve. Close the Pump
Shutoff valve.
3. Start the sprayer pump.
4. When the water transfer is complete, close the Transfer valve. Open the Pump Shutoff valve.
NOTE: The typical pump flow rate should be between 220 to 310 L/min (50 to 70 Imperial gpm, 60 to 80 US
gpm per minute).
IMPORTANT: When using the sprayer to apply liquid fertilizer, because of the high weight of the fertilizer
(approx. 13 lbs/Imp. gallon), the tank
MUST NOT
be filled to more than 80% of the tank’s
capacity. This measurement calculates to 4850 Litres (1065 Imp. gallons, 1280 US gallons).
Failure to follow this procedure could result in severe damage to the sprayer.

IMPORTANT:
Never run a centrifugal pump dry for more than a few seconds. Fluid is required at all times
to cool the pump, preventing pump seal damage. If the pump will not prime or runs out of fluid,
shut it off promptly.
Keep the mix and fill tank suction valve closed at all times unless in use. The sprayer pump must be primed and
pumping before opening the mix and fill tank suction valve to prevent tank overflow and loss of chemical.
