4. Attach an air hose to the Air Valve. Water and air
will start blowing out of the Pump, the Agitators, the
Flow Meter Drain and the Tank Rinse Nozzles (if
equipped). Any water that is pushed back into the
tank will be drained later.
5. After the Pump has drained, close the drain cock.
After the Agitators have drained, close the Agitator
Valve. After the Tank Rinse Nozzles have drained,
close the ball valve. After the water has drained out
of the Main Supply Hose, close the drain cock on
the Flow Meter Drain.
6. Start the tractor and unfold the booms into field
position, if not already done. Raise the centre boom
to maximum height and tilt the outer booms down.
This will allow any water in the spray pipes to move
to the end. See Fig. 5.16.
7. With the system still pressurized, open the ball valves
on the end of the spray pipes. Activate the boom
electric ball valves by turning on the switches in the
control box, one section at a time. This will blow all
the water out of the spray pipes.
8. With the system still pressurized, close the ball valves
on the end of the spray pipes. This will now blow
out the nozzle bodies.
9. After the complete system has been blown out,
remove the air hose from the Air Valve and remove
the Air Valve from the Bottom Fill Valve. Open the
Tank Shutoff valve and the Bottom Fill valve. This
will allow any water that was blown back into the
tank to drain. You may have to lift the hose from the
tank to the plumbing to make sure all water has
drained out.
10. To fully drain the Chemical Induction Tank (Handler
or Mix and Fill), remove the hose shown in Fig. 5.20
or 5.21 from the ball valve and lower the end of the
hose.
After all the liquid has been removed from the system,
reattach all the hoses previously removed and close the
Bottom Fill ball valve.
