5.1 SERVICING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
DANGER!
NEVER disconnect the tractor from the sprayer in field position.
Serious injury or death will result due to hitch upending because of negative
hitch weight.
CAUTION!
Use rubber gloves, protective eye wear and protective clothing when
cleaning or working with components covered with active chemical.
Shut down the tractor, be sure all moving parts have stopped and all
spraying pressure in the systems is relieved before cleaning, adjusting or
lubricating the sprayer.
Always be certain that all pressure in the hydraulic circuits is relieved
before servicing or disconnecting the hydraulics from tractor.
5 MAINTENANCE
5.2 Fluids and Lubricants
1. Grease - Use an SAE multipurpose high temperature
grease with extreme-pressure (EP) rating. Also
acceptable is an SAE multipurpose lithium based
grease.
2. Storing Lubricants - Your machine can operate at
top efficiency only if clean lubricants are used. Use
clean containers to handle all lubricants. Store them
in an area protected from dust, moisture and other
contaminants.
5.2.1 Lubrication
1. Use the provided Maintenance Checklist to keep
a record of all scheduled maintenance.
2. Use a hand held grease gun for all greasing.
3. Wipe fittings clean before greasing to avoid
injecting dirt and grit.
4. Repair and replace broken or missing fittings
immediately.
5. If fittings will not take grease, remove and clean
thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway.
Replace fitting if necessary.
DANGER
HITCH UPENDING HAZARD
Be certain no upward force is exerted on
the tractor hitch by the sprayer tongue to
prevent sprayer hitch from rising abruptly.
1. Always park sprayer on level ground.
2. Never disconnect tractor from the sprayer
while booms are in field position. Fold
booms into transport position before
disconnecting.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
