Problem
Electric ball valves will not
open.
Electric ball valves operating
properly and inspect valve body.
Electric ball valve will not work.
Electric ball valve will not shut off.
Electronic pressure regulator valve
does not affect pressure.
Electric ball valve is leaking.
Possible Causes
Fuse may be blown.
Valve may be stuck.
No power to connection at tractor/
controller.
Obstruction in valve body.
Voltage too low.
Motor is loose on ball valve.
Improper valve ball rotation.
Electric ball valve still energized.
Power fault.
Foreign material in valve.
Defective valve.
If leakage is around body, the hex bolts
are too loose.
If leakage is in another location on the
valve, the seals may be worn.
Possible Solutions
Replace the fuse.
Disassemble and clean valve(s).
Inspect tractor/controller electrical
system and fuses.
Remove inlet and outlet fittings and
inspect valve body.
Check voltage to ensure that the
system is producing 12 volts. Check
the hex bolts on the valve to make sure
that they are not too tight. Adjust to
15 inch- pounds.
Tighten the bolts on the bottom of the
motor module.
Replace motor sub assembly.
Check for current with a test light.
If current is present, check for a short
and repair.
Check wire connections and fuse.
Fuse for the 3-Switch unit, is 15 amp,
the 6-Switch unit is 20 amp, on a 12
VDC charging system.
Remove hose barb fitting from the end
of the valve and inspect the inside of
the valve for debris.
Remove valve and connect to a power
source (12 V battery) to test. The
butterfly should rotate, clockwise or
counterclockwise, depending on wire
polarity. Replace valve if defective.
Tighten hex bolts to 15 inch-pounds.
Check seals for wear and replace as
needed.
