To complete a White Balance Adjustment, perform the following:
1. Using the Web-based Interface, login as a Poweruser from the
Login Level screen
(see 7.1
Login Level Screen)
2. From the Poweruser’s Setup Device screen (

), click on the
Adjustments
button
(the White Balance Adjustments screen will display –

3. Click
the
White Balance
button (the White Balance Adjustment – Step 1 screen will display)

4. Place (center) the white balance calibration sheet (control sheet) on the scan table
5. Click
the
Next Step
button to begin the adjustment. Once the adjustment is complete, a
status screen will display

A positive status is displayed using green text with an ‘OK’ message; a negative status
or error is displayed using red text and is followed by an explanatory remark(s).
Brightness Correction
Clicking the
Brightness Correction
button displays the Brightness Correction Factor screen,
from which the Poweruser can adjust the gains settings up to +/- 2 dB. Positive values make
the scan look brighter. When the setting (factor) is changed, the display automatically reverts
back to the White Balance Adjustments screen (
Figure 7.28
).
