6 How to Scan a Document
The purpose of this section is to instruct the operator on how to perform a basic scan using the
Touch Screen
, and to provide general operating tips (things you should know).
Things You Should Know
•
The Infinity WF Scanner is designed as a scan-from-center device. This means that at least
some part of the document being scanned must be placed on the center of the scan table
(Figure 6.1)

•
The Infinity WF has the available option of a Foot Pedal. The Foot Pedal is used by the
operator to issue a scan command instead of using the Touch Screen. Foot Pedals can be
purchased through a BBH Authorized Spare Parts Reseller (ASPR). A complete listing of
ASPRs can be found on the BBH web site at:
www.bbhscanners.com
The following instructions assume that the scanner has already been properly installed and set
up for use.
To scan a document, perform the following:
1. Power ON the scanner (see
1.6.1 Powering ON/OFF
)
2. Tap the Touch Screen when prompted (
Figure 3.1
). After the scanner runs through and
completes the
start sequence
the
Main menu
will be displayed (see
3.3 Ready for Use
for
more information)
3. Set the scan-to-location (see
5.1 Scan to Location
)
4. Position the document to be scanned on the scan table as close to center as possible
(
Figure 6.1
).
