You may leave the long side of the Transport Wing extended out towards the back of the
scanner (not inserted as displayed in Figure A4-4) for scanning delicate media, or insert the
long side into the notch at the back of the guide plate (
Figure A5
).

3. After the Transport Wings are inserted, gently close the transport cover
Note
Remove the Transport Wings if you are going to scan documents that have a higher
rigidity and/or higher material thickness than standard paper (e.g. poster board).
