- lubricate the surfaces of knuckles 3 with the grease indicated in table 6.7.1;
- install knuckles 3 into body 5 of front axle;
- install pin 4 and tighten two bolts 2 with the torque from 150 to 200 N

m. Repeat
the operation on the other side;
- attach hydraulic cylinder 6 of steering control to the swivel lever. Tighten nut 7 with
the torque of 180 to 200 N

m;
- install steering link 8. Tighten nuts 1 with the torque of 100 to 140 N

m and lock
with split pins; when matching nut slot and ball pin hole, it is not allowed to loosen nut 1;
- install the wheels. Tighten the wheel nuts with the torque from 200 to 250 N

m;
- adjust toe-in of front wheels as indicated in section 6.4.3.4 “Check / adjustment of
front wheels’ toe-in.“
On tractors equipped with HPS, the procedure of greasing the brackets of extensi-
ble knuckles of front axle is identical to that of tractors with HSC installed, except for the
following:
- detach the final ends of two steering links 8 from steering levers by unscrewing
nuts 1;
- detaching hydraulic cylinder 6 of the steering control is not required, since it is not
mounted.
On tractors equipped with HSC with HPS body, the procedure of greasing the
brackets of extensible knuckles of front axle is identical to that of tractors with HSC in-
stalled, except for the following:
- detach the final ends of two steering links 8 from steering levers by unscrewing
nuts 1.
6.4.5.20 Operation 67. Check/tightening of outer threaded connections of the tractor
Check and, if necessary, tighten the following most important threaded connections:
1 – front bar — side rails of semi-frame;
2 – side rails of semi-frame — clutch body;
3 – engine — clutch body;
4 – clutch body — gearbox body;
5 – gearbox body — rear axle body;
6 – rear axle body — axle shaft tubes;
7 – rear axle body — bracket of RLL turning shaft;
8 – rear axle body — RLL cylinder bracket;
9 – nuts attaching brackets of outer lock of RLL lower links;
10 – front and rear supports of the cab;
11 – FDA body — tubes (for BELARUS – 820);
12 – tubes — wheel gear groups (for BELARUS – 820);
13 – FDA body — tubes (for BELARUS – 82.1);
14 – nuts of wedges of FDA body (for BELARUS – 82.1);
15 – bolts of flanges of pivoted pipes (for BELARUS – 82.1),
16 – body of intermediate support of cardan drive — clutch body (for BELARUS –
82.1/820);
17 – pins of steering hydraulic cylinder (with installed HSC or HSC with HPS body);
18 – brackets of steering hydraulic cylinder (with installed HSC or HSC with HPS body);
