8.2.3
No Output and No Lights on Front Panel
Table 8-4: No Output and No Lights on Front Panel
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Front panel power switched off.
Switch the breaker on.
No input power to the input connector.
Ensure correct input power.
Blown fuse.
Check fuses on the DC bias power supply
and replace with same type and rating.
See Figure 7-2.
8.2.4
No Output but “Display” on Front Panel is On
Table 8-5: No Output But "Display" Is On
CAUSE
SOLUTION
“OUTPUT ON” switch is turned off.
Turn OUTPUT ON switch to “ON”.
Current limit programmed down or to zero.
Program current limit higher.
Voltage programmed down or to zero.
Turn amplitude control up.
Remote Inhibit Input is active
Remote Inhibit (On/Off) input on rear panel
connector J22 is pulled up or down. This
renders the Output On/Off button inactive.
The polarity of the Remote Inhibit input is
determined by the SYST.CONF command.
See sections 3.3 and 4.5.1 for details.
Controller configuration lost. Evident by
inability to set voltage or current to any
other value than 0.
If the controller encounters an incorrect
configuration check sum at power up, it
defaults to a "SAFE" state by setting the
voltage and current range to 0 V and 0 A.
The unit is inoperative in this state until the
configuration data is reset. This requires
the use of the RS232C interface. Contact
factory for assistance.
8.2.5 Error
-300
Error -300 indicates a device specific error. It is usually associated with an over power, over
temperature, sense wiring or AC line input condition. An Error -300 will result in the output being
turned off and the voltage set to 0 V. To recover from an Error -300, the voltage must be programmed
up and the output turned back on after the error condition has been removed.
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Internal heat sink temperature is too high.
Operate power supply between 0 and
40
°
C.
Fans or ventilation holes are blocked. Remove
obstructions.
Fans not working.
Check DC bias supply (A7) and
connection cable harness for DC fans. If
+24 VDC is present at fan terminals and
fans don’t' turn, replace fans.
The output is overloaded.
Remove the overload.
