5.4.2

Multi box front panel control

The auxiliary unit(s) (-AUX) cannot be controlled from their respective front panel(s). Instead,
they are controlled indirectly through the master XDS unit. The –AUX unit will display read back
fro output voltage on the left LED and the selected read back (current, peak current or power) on
the right hand side LED. Turning the controls on an –AUX unit will result in a set of four dashes
being shown on the readout. This indicates not front panel control is available. After about 2
seconds of releasing the knob, the display will revert back to read back mode.

The Output On/Off key remains active. Generally, it is recommended to leave the output of the
auxiliary unit turned on. This can be accomplished at power up using the power on setup
register. (Refer to section 4.3).
