CAUTION
● Set the amplitude of the signal input to the CRU In
connector to not exceed the following values. This is
equivalent to + 10 dBm for a sine-wave signal. Inputting
a signal with a larger voltage risks damaging the
internal circuits.
Option 053: 2 Vp-p
Option 054: –1 dBm (mean)
Option 055: 1.0 Vp-p
Procedure
1. Connect the Trigger CLK In and CRU Out connectors on the front
panel using a coaxial cable.
2. With the Option 053, input the signal to the front panel CRU In
connector.
With the Option 054, input the signal to the front panel O/E Data In
connector.
With the Option 055, input the signal to the front panel ED1-Data
CRU In connector.
3. Touch [EYE/Pulse Scope].
4. Touch
[Setup].
5. Touch the Clock Recovery button to select CRU Band from the
following items.
[Off]:
Turn off the clock output to CRU Out connector.
[<2.7]: Sets the CRU from 0.1 to 2.7 GHz.
[>8.5] Sets the CRU from 8.5 to 12.5 GHz.
When setting to [<2.7] or [>8.5], “*CRU Valid” is displayed.
6. When Clock Recovery is [>8.5], select the CRU loop BW from the
following:
[1 MHz], [2 MHz], [4 MHz], [8 MHz]
7. Touch [Time].
8. Set the divide rate to 1.
9. Touch [Acquire Clock Rate] at Acquire Clock Rate.
Note:
When not using the clock recovery unit, set Clock Recovery to [OFF].
The clock recovery may not be generated if the input signal
frequency to the clock recovery is out of CRU Band. In that case,
the [PLL Unlocked] is displayed.
