launches the Scale Background Image dialog box, which allows you to
select how the size of the image should be determined.

If you subsequently wish to resize the background image for the currently
viewed submap, select
View > Background Image > Scale Background
Image to launch the Scale Background Image dialog box again.
Once the size of the background image for a particular submap has been
determined, its size will not be changed unless you resize it by launching
the Scale Background Image dialog box again. This allows you to
manually layout the map items over the background image and have
them appear in the same location over the background image regardless
of any zooming or panning of the submap that you may do.
To clear the background image from the currently viewed submap, select
View > Background Image > Clear Background Image . This permanently
removes the background image from the submap.
The View > Background Image > Show Background Images toggle allows
you to temporarily hide background images without losing the details of
the images.
