20.6  Loop Guard

Loop guard allows you to configure the OLT to shut down a port if it detects that 
packets sent out on that port loop back to the OLT. While you can use Spanning 
Tree Protocol (STP) to prevent loops in the core of your network. STP cannot 
prevent loops that occur on the edge of your network.

Note: The loop guard feature can not be enabled on the ports that have Spanning 

Tree Protocol (RSTP, MRSTP or MSTP) enabled.

Logical Link 
Index 

Select the number of the logical link on the ONU.

MAC

Enter the MAC address in valid MAC address format, that is, six hexadecimal 
character pairs. Static MAC addresses do not age out.

OK

Click OK to save the settings. 

Close

Click Close to exit the screen. All unsaved settings will be lost.
