Bridging
Profile
Select the name of the link bridging profile which applies to this link.
ONU
Upstream
Queue Size
Specify the queue size (in kilobyte) for the upstream traffic through this
link.
Each link contains one queue only.
The number you entered is multiplied by 4.
Upstream DBA
Upstream traffic refers to traffic from the ONU to the OLT.
Granting
Mode
Specify how the EMS allocates bandwidth to the link.
Select Dynamic to let the EMS use DBA to re-assign unused bandwidth
based on traffic requirements and link priority.
Select TDM and the EMS uses static, TDM-like bandwidth allocation. The
predefined bandwidth is reserved whether the link uses it or not. Each link
transmits data at a fixed rate during the available time slot. Time slot is a
unit of duration in TDM (time division multiplexing) during which an ONU
transmits to the EMS and vice versa. Each ONU takes turns to transmit
when its time slot occurs.
Delay
Specify the delay tolerance of a logical link for bandwidth allocation when
network congestion occurs.
Select Low for the packets to get serviced faster. This is recommended
when you have real-time applications (such as VoIP) on the network.
Select High to get less service time slots. Packets are serviced slower.
Guaranteed
Bandwidth
Select the check box and specify the minimum upstream bandwidth
guaranteed to this link.
Clear the check box to set the minimum bandwidth to 0 and there is no limit
on the minimum bandwidth committed to the link.
Maximum
Bandwidth
Select the check box and specify the maximum upstream bandwidth this
link can get.
Clear the check box to set the maximum bandwidth to 0 and there is no
limit on the maximum bandwidth.
Maximum
Burst Size
Specify the maximum upstream burst size (in kilobyte) that a link is allowed
to send for a single traffic burst. This assigns more bandwidth to the link for
a short burst period without changing the profile settings.
TDM Rate
If you select TDM, enter how many 250 micro-second time frames are
allowed to specify the time period in which a link can send data.
The OLT provides a grant that 512 bytes can be issued every 250
microseconds, which is equivalent to a transmission rate of 2.048M byte per
second.

Length
If you select TDM, enter the total number of frames the link can send in a
time slot.
