HFA Network: Setting Up Link-Local

Link-Local is the default network configuration. Link-Local assigns a unique IP address to the HFA
without searching the local network. Link-Local does not require a DHCP server. If you wish to use
Link-Local, follow this procedure to set it up.

From the HFA Network Setup screen, select LINK-LOCAL from the OBTAIN HFA IP
CONFIGURATION drop-down box (see

).

The HFA will be assigned an IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.

You now need to enter your Workgroup or Domain name. You can do so by pressing the
WORKGROUP NAME button. Note: In order to use a Shared Folder, you must enter a
