3.14. Intelligent Detector Backplane Card
The Intelligent Detector Backplanes (IDB) are mounted within the rack. Each IDB provide support
for the connection of up to 4 Loop Detector Cards, such as Yunex Traffic SLD4 or the WiMag Loop
Replacement Card.
The IDB connects via a ribbon cable to the Loop Termination Board mounted on the cabinet rear panel.
The Loop Termination Board provides the termination point for 16 Loop Feeder pairs, without the use of
any additional terminal blocks and twisted wire kits.
