The initialization group contains parameters associated with initial drive setup, including parameters involving the
display language, access levels, initialization, and password.

A1-00: Language Selection
Selects the display language for the digital operator.
Note:
This parameter is not reset when the drive is initialized using parameter A1-03.
Setting 0: English
Setting 1: Japanese
Setting 7: Chinese (Available from the drive software version S0106 and later.)
Setting 11: Polish (Available from the drive software version S0105 and later.)

A1-01: Access Level Selection
Allows or restricts access to drive parameters.
Setting 0: Operation only
Access is restricted to parameters A1-00, A1-01, A1-04 and all U monitor parameters.
Setting 1: User Parameters
Access to only a specific list of parameters set to A2-01 through A2-32. These User Parameters can be accessed using the
Setup Mode of the digital operator.
Setting 2: Advanced Access Level (A) and Setup Access Level (S)
All parameters can be viewed and edited.
Notes on Parameter Access
• If the drive parameters are password protected by A1-04, parameters A1-00 through A1-03, A1-06, and all A2
parameters cannot be modified.
• If a contact input terminal programmed for “Program lockout” (H1-
= 1B) is enabled, parameter values cannot be
modified, even if A1-01 is set to 1 or 2.
• If parameters are changed via serial communication, then it will not be possible to edit or change parameters settings
with the digital operator until an Enter command is issued to the drive from the serial communication.
