Install a new O-ring

, onto the oil seal

Install a new gasket

, the oil seal hous-

Install the Woodruff key into the drive
shaft.

Align the groove on the impeller

with

the Woodruff key

, and then install the

impeller onto the drive shaft.

Install the insert cartridge

and grom-

met

into the water pump housing

NOTE:

Align the insert cartridge projection

with

the hole

in the water pump housing.

Install a new gasket

, the water pump

housing

, and the dowels

onto the

lower case.

Install and tighten the bolts

NOTE:

• Apply grease to the inside of the water

pump housing before installation.

• To install the water pump housing, push

down on the pump housing, and then turn
the drive shaft clockwise.

Installing the lower unit

Set the gear shift to the neutral position
at the lower unit.
