Specifying Output Settings

At the printer control panel, press the
Machine Status
button, then touch the
Tools
tab.

Contention Management
: This option prioritizes copy and print jobs.

Priority
: This option specifies the relative priority of the copy or print jobs. The lower the
number, the higher the priority.
•
First In/First Out
: This option schedules jobs to print based on their entry into the Job
Queue.

Output Location
: This option specifies the output location for jobs when a finisher is not
available.

Within Job Offsetting
: This option instructs the printer to separate print sets within an overall
job. If you select
Disable
, the printer stacks all printed sets together.

Staple Productivity Mode
: This option specifies where the printer applies staples to a print job.

Out of Staples Options
: This option specifies how the printer handles a print job that requires
staples when the printer has run out of staples.
Note:
Not all options listed are supported on all printers. Some options apply only to a specific
printer model, configuration, operating system, or driver type. Some options are available only if a
finisher is installed.
