Crane is not insulated. The main boom, steel wire rope, hook, lifting rigging or guide wire rope
contacting with cable can cause very serious damage.
Table4-2 the minimum distance between crane and transmission line
e. If the crane touches the live wire or cable, the following measures should be taken;
The personnel in driver room do not leave;
Warning all other staff away from the crane and do not touch any part of the crane, the rope or
articles;
In the conditions of no any people close to the crane and one can ensure his own safety, the driver
can attempt to independently drive the crane until the power wires or cables separating from crane;
If the crane can not move, the driver should stay in the cab. Try to immediately notify the power
supply department. Before the uncon
fi
rmed safe state, do not take any action;
If
fi
re on due to electric shock or some other factors, one should leave the cab and jump out from
the crane as far as possible, since human body parts do not contact with the crane and the ground;
Immediately notify the relevant person in charge responsible for the project, or the field
management. Before getting the help, someone should stay nearby the crane (within the secure area), to
warn dangerous conditions.
2. Operation nearby launching tower
If there is a launching device near the operation site, so a strong electromagnetic
fi
eld exists. When
the crane is working near the launching tower, please consult the relevant government agent or expert
advice. These
fi
elds may directly or indirectly cause risks to human and objects, such as:
a.higher temperature will lead to undesirable effect for human body;
b. higher temperature causes
fi
re;
c. form an electric arc or spark;
d. electromagnetic interference affects the normal work of the crane torque limiter and other
electric components.
To avoid high frequency radiation risk, operators should pay attention to the following
requirements:
a. if crane need connect to "ground", one should be carefully inspected or tested to ensure the
ladder, cab and steel wire rope completely connecting to "grounding;
b. the personnel working on the crane or larger metal plate must wear special insulating gloves and
insulating clothing to prevent being burned;
c. do not touch other objects while the crane is moving so as to avoid the discharge, once happens,
timely check and have a maintenance;
d. insulator must be placed on the middle of the hook and rigging, and could not be removed
