10-6-4 Free trackslip operation
In order to prevent the side load when lifting the weight, while doing the lifting operation, hold
on press the free trackslip button on handle to open the free trackslip function, the crane boom free
trackslip is aligned at the center of gravity of the weight, and then release the free trackslip button after
the weight leaving the ground, as shown in
fi
gure(10-18).

When lifting, hold down the free
trackslip function key, so that the
boom aligns with the weight center.
After the weight leaves off the
ground, release the free trackslip
button to continue lifting operation.
10-7 Main crane boom stretching operation
10-7-1 Operating precautions
a. Before extending the boom, con
fi
rm the fully retracted length of the main crane boom displayed
on the torque limiter within the prescribed scope.
b. When stretching the crane boom, the hook will lift along with it. Thus while doing the crane
boom stretching operation, adjust the hook height using the right control handle (lifting mechanism
control).
c. After the crane boom extending , the crane boom will slightly retract due to the hydraulic oil
temperature change for a certain time. For example : when the crane boom extending length is 5 meters
and the hydraulic oil temperature decreases 10
℃
, the retraction is about 40 mm. In addition to the
hydraulic oil temperature change, this natural stretching changes some also due to factors of the crane
boom stretching state, main crane boom elevation angle and lubrication conditions. When the crane
boom natural retraction happens, one should do the proper stretching operation to restore the required
length.
Don't make the hydraulic oil temperature too high.
