Calibration
The PROTOC 200 is calibrated using two points of its measuring
range: at 0 % and at a value between 50 % and 100 % of the measuring
range. The controller automatically runs through a sequence of zeroing
and calibration operations at preset times over a 24-hour period. How
you can change the time settings is explained in section
5.1 C

These points can also be checked manually. Carry out the following
steps to do so:

Press the ENTER/MENU key. The MAIN MENU appears on
the display.

Press F1. The SENSOR SETUP menu appears.

Press F3. The NORMAL CAL menu appears.

ZERO is highlighted. Press F1. The right display is highlighted.

Press the UP key to manually zero the equipment. The control-
ler energizes the zero solenoid.

Allow at least 6 to 8 minutes for the system to stabilize.

The IR detector current signal appears at the bottom of the dis-
play. The right-hand value is the controller signal in Hertz and
the left-hand value is the corresponding value in ppm. Check
that the ppm value is zero and that the right-hand value is not
less than 250 Hz.

Zero the equipment if the ppm value is not zero or if the fre-
quency is less than 250 Hz.
