7. Select the water Inlet to use to calculate
T, either
Upper
or
Lower
.
8. Allow approximately 20 seconds per boiler for the
T values of all units to stabilize before
continuing.
9. Press on the square of the first unit you want to balance; the box turns grey with white text.
Do not start with any of the units with larger
T values.

10. Use the
Valve Signal
controls to adjust the voltage sent to the isolation valve. Note the
following:
•
Before Balancing, fully open = 0.00V, fully closed = 10.00V
•
To view the current voltage, press the data entry field between the
+
and
–
controls.
•
If the current
T is
below
the target,
raise
T by
raising
the voltage sent to the
isolation valve; this
reduces
the isolation valve’s “fully open” position (
reducing
outlet
water flow) thereby
increasing
outlet water temperature.

•
There are two ways to change the voltage sent to the isolation valve:
o
Use the
+
and
–
controls to change the voltage by 0.01V per push.
o
Press the data entry field, type any value from 0.00 to 10.00V in, then press
Save
.
•
The effect of voltage adjustments is not linear across the full 0 to 10V range. As the
voltage approaches 0V, small voltage changes change flow rate by a greater percent and
therefore have a greater effect on
T.
