VTI recommends annual calibration of the EX1200-2165 and EX1200-2365 DMMs to assure that
the instrument maintains the tightest specifications. To eliminate the need to return an entire
mainframe for calibration to VTI, the DMMs can be removed from mainframe. The mainframes
can still be used once the DMM has been removed.

The following sections describe how to remove the DMM from the two mainframes.

NOTE

As these devices are static sensitive, proper ESD precautions should be exercised when removing
and handling the DMM.

EX1200-2165 Removal

Removal Procedure

1)

Remove the three screws shown in using the #2 Phillips screwdriver. Retain these screws for
re-installation.

2)

Use the handle on the front panel of the DMM to slowly remove the DMM from the chassis.
Note that once half of the DMM has been removed, remove the connector at J6 on the input
board.
