As the calibration process progresses, prompts will appear indicating the connections that
need to be made between the EX1200A DMM and the reference standards.
NOTE
The
calibrator’s “Aux Current Out” must be connected to the DUT’s “Input I” jack at all times.

ERIFICATION
When verification is run, the user can generate a report that indicates the measured and expected
values for the points measured during the calibration process. Performing verification before and
after calibration can provide the user valuable information regarding the stability of an instrument.
Prior to performing verification, ensure the following:
The EX1200A DMM (device under calibration), the function generator, the DMM, and the
calibrator/amplifier must all be powered up for a minimum of one hour before calibration
The Agilent
3458A “Auto Cal All” procedure must be performed
prior to verification.
The 5700A’s “Cal Zero” procedure must be performed
prior to verification.
Ensure that
the “I FUSE” is installed in the
EX1200A DMM.
Verification Procedure
1)
Follow steps 1) through 3) in the Performing Calibration section.
2)
From the Calibration Functions section of the Calibration page, select Verification from the
drop down menu.
3)
Follow steps 5) through 9) in the Performing Calibration section.
4)
When the test is finished, a popup window will tell you if there were any failures. Save the
test logs and test results.
5)
Copy the test logs and test results. Use these values to make the calibration report.
