D
Backups Tab
The properties on the Backups tab define the class and schedule to use for user
backups and archives on the selected clients. The following topics explain the
settings on this tab.
User Backups
Class
Specifies the class for user backups of this client. If you set this value to "any"
(default), NetBackup uses the first class that it finds with both the client name
and a user backup schedule. To specify a class, select the check box and enter
the name in the text field.
On UNIX clients,
BPBACKUP_CLASS
in a user’s
$HOME/bp.conf
file takes
precedence if it exists.
Schedule
Specifies the schedule for user backups of this client. If you set this value to
"any" (default), NetBackup uses the first user backup schedule in the first class
that it finds with both the client name and a user backup schedule. To specify a
schedule, select the check box and enter the name in the text field.
On UNIX clients,
BPBACKUP_SCHED
in a user’s
$HOME/bp.conf
file takes
precedence if it exists.
User Archives
Class
Specifies the class for user archives on this client. If you set this value to any
(default), NetBackup uses the first class that it finds with both the client name
and a user archive schedule. To specify a class, select the check box and enter
the name in the text field.
On UNIX clients,
BPARCHIVE_CLASS
in a user’s
$HOME/bp.conf
file takes
precedence if it exists.
