NetBackup Properties
The NetBackup properties can be changed in order to customize NetBackup to
meet specific site preferences and requirements. In most instances, the internal
software defaults provide satisfactory results. However, if they must be
changed, do so according to the following instructions.
To Change NetBackup Properties for a Master Server
1. In the NetBackup Administration window, click NetBackup Configuration
on the Start menu.
The Configuration - NetBackup dialog box appears.
2. If there is more than one NetBackup master server, verify that the dialog
box shows the one where you want to change the properties:
To change master servers:
a. On the File menu, click Change Server.
b. In the Change Master Server dialog box, specify the master server.
c. Click OK.
If you encounter problems, see “Remote Administration” on page 195.
3. In the left pane of the window, select the master server and then click a
Properties command on the File menu.
The Master Server Properties dialog box appears.
4. Click the tab with the properties you want to change and make the desired
changes.
For information, on changing the properties, see the online help for the
dialog box. Or, refer to Appendix D, “NetBackup Properties,” in this
manual.
5. When your changes are complete, click OK.
