2.3 Safety functions
The vaporizer is equipped with safety functions that are used to monitor the device status
and thus to detect any changes in the parameters.
Changes in the parameters may be caused by:

operating errors

device malfunctions

changes in the electrical supply

changes in the fresh gas flow of the anaesthesia workstation

changes in the supply of anaesthesia gas
The following safety functions are integrated in the vaporizer to warn the operator if the pa-
tient is at risk.
