If a Sharp-Cut Cyclone (SCC) or a BGI Very Sharp-Cut Cyclone is
being used for PM
2.5
sampling ( Figure 5–3 ), once every 2-3 weeks the
dust pot should be unscrewed, emptied, and cleaned with a lint-free
cloth. Once every three months, the entire SCC assembly should be
inspected and cleaned, O-rings checked for distortion, cracks, fraying,
or other problems. Replace O-rings as necessary.
