When the SATA Controller Mode is set to “Enhanced”, the following items will dis-
play:
C.3.1.15Serial ATA (SATA) RAID Enable
Select Enable to enable Serial ATA RAID Functions. (*For the Windows OS envi-
ronment, use the RAID driver if this feature is set to Enabled. When this item is set
to Enabled, the item: “ICH RAID Code Base” will be available for you to select
either Intel or Adaptec Host RAID firmware to be activated. If this item is set to
Dis-
abled , the item-SATA AHCI Enable will be available.) The options are Enabled and
Disabled .
C.3.1.16ICH RAID Code Base
Select Intel to enable Intel's SATA RAID firmware. Select Adaptec to use Adaptec's
HostRAID firmware. The options are
Intel and Adaptec.
C.3.1.17SATA AHCI
Select Enable to enable the function of Serial ATA Advanced Host Interface.
C.3.1.18System Memory
This display informs you how much system memory is recognized as being present
in the system.
C.3.1.19Extended Memory
This display informs you how much extended memory is recognized as being
present in the system.
Note: The Enhanced mode is supported by the Windows 2000 OS or a later ver-
sion.
Caution: This feature is for advanced programmers only. The options are Enabled
and Disabled .
