RES-32DCX Installation Manual
The RES-32DCX front panel houses five removable hard-disk drive bays. These
drive bays offer a number of hard-disk drive options, consisting of either five
Ultra320 SCSI or SATA II drives, or a combination of SCSI/SATA II drives, a 1.44-
MB 3.5" floppy-disk drive, and/or a single 2.88-MB DAT drive. Note that a single
DAT drive takes up two hard-drive bays, and would be installed in the two right-
hand drive bays. A floppy drive can be installed in the upper-left drive bay. Hard-
disk drive requirements should be ordered at the time of purchase.
Also included on the front panel is a combination CD-RW/DVD-ROM Slimline
drive, a reset switch, and the system power button and LEDs (see
Figure 1-5
on
page 1-10). The rear panel contains I/O faceplates for seven PCI cards (graphics,
RAID, NIC, etc.), two AC power supplies with latch locks and power-cord sockets,
and all I/O connectors (

).
