Parallel / Series Operation
This section describes the basic operations required to operate the
power supply in series or parallel. Operating the 2260B power
supplies in parallel increases the total power output of the power
supply units. When used in series, the total output voltage of the
power supplies can be increased.
The number of the power supplies that can be connected in series
or parallel depends on the model and the mode:
Series Mode: 2 units maximum; 30V and 80V models only.
Parallel Mode: 3 units maximum
CAUTION
250V and 800V models do not support series
operation!
To use the power supplies in series or parallel, units must be used
in a Master-Slave configuration. In the master-slave configuration a
“master” power supply controls any other connected “slave”
power supplies.
